More snow is expected over the next couple of days across the East Kootenay and Mainroad East Kootenay is asking drivers to be extra cautious and drive to the conditions.

Light snow is supposed to start tonight in Cranbrook, with heavier snow expected Wednesday morning.

Five to 10 cm are anticipated tomorrow and another five on Thursday.

The Yahk area will be getting around the same amount.

The Elk Valley is expected to get the worst of it with up to 15 cm forecasted on Wednesday and an additional 10 cm on Thursday.

The Columbia Valley is supposed to get less than five cm over the same time.

Mainroad is out patrolling roads and doing prep work.

Motorists should use caution, drive to the conditions, and prepare for delays caused by the weather.
