Slippery conditions and accidents have been reported around the region, as snow blankets the area.
East of Cranbrook, a six-car pile-up has been reported on the Highway 3/93 junction, and DriveBC is warning of slippery conditions all along Highway 93.
Extra caution is advised on the Highway 93 hill near Fort Steele, with cars stopped on either side of the road and other vehicles sliding backwards.
On Highway 3 between Elko and Fernie, DriveBC reports snow blowing across the road with reduced visibility.
From Fernie to Sparwood, and continuing to the Alberta border, winter driving conditions have been reported.
More slippery conditions have been reported from DriveBC between Sparwood and Elkford.
Winter driving conditions between Cranbrook, Highway 95A and Wasa Junction for 55.5 km.
Most of Highway 3 is reporting winter driving conditions, including Yahk, Moyie, Cranbrook, Jaffary, and Elko.
Highway 93 from the 3/93 junction to the Canada-U.S. border is also seeing slippery winter driving conditions.
