Traffic through the McPhee and Theatre Road intersection will be impacted on Tuesday.
City officials said crews will be down to one lane while crews work on paving on Nov 1.
Work is expected to start at 7 a.m. and take up most of the day.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area, if possible, as access to Home Depot or the Cranbrook Transfer Station will be open via 22nd Street North by Lordco.
Once the road is reopened, the intersection will be treated as a four-way stop until the new traffic lights are installed.
“It is anticipated that the permanent signals will be fully functional by mid-November. We anticipate that the road and rail crossing will be safe to open to the public on Friday, November 4, 2022,” said city officials.
Drivers are asked to obey signs and on-site staff while construction is underway.
