A new emergency information telephone line is available for residents to find out more about the Cummings Creek fire near Sparwood.
Sparwood district staff said the number will not have a person on the line to answer, but it will play a recording of the most recent information on the fire.
The district is asking people to share this information with friends, family or neighbours who do not use the internet.
The information phone line is available by calling 250-425-6834.
