Hosmer residents can partake in a FireSmart information session on Saturday hosted by the Regional District of East Kootenay.
The session will offer clear guidelines and simple steps that you can take to protect your home.
“Given the back-to-back fire seasons we’ve seen in the last couple of years, it’s important for residents to look for ways to make their homes and properties more fire resilient,” says RDEK interface fire prevention officer Thomas Dobbin in a release.
The session will be held at 10 a.m. at the Hosmer Fire Hall.
“This session is open to everyone, and we encourage you to
come and learn more about how we can support you in your efforts to be FireSmart,” added Dobbin.
There will also be a question-and-answer period with a local FireSmart representative.
