UPDATE (6:08 p.m.):
Power has been restored to 326 BC Hydro customers in the Wycliffe area following a vehicle accident on Monday afternoon.
According to BC Hydro officials, power was knocked out just after 1:40 p.m., when a vehicle collided with a power pole.
Crews with BC Hydro were on the scene to repair power lines, and had services restored by 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
According to Cranbrook RCMP, traffic control was in the area at the time, but no details on any injuries have been released yet.
ORIGINAL STORY (2:10 p.m.):
More than 320 BC Hydro customers are without power on Monday after a vehicle hit a power pole in the Wycliffe area.
According to BC Hydro, the power was off at about 1:40 p.m. on June 6th.
BC Hydro officials said a crew is on-site to address the outage.
The impacted area lies north of Wycliffe Park Road, along Highway 95A, between Cranbrook and Kimberley.
Cranbrook RCMP officials said traffic control is in the area, but there is no word yet on any injuries resulting from this accident.
