After the first month of the KIJHL regular season, the Fernie Ghostriders have named their leadership group.
Dylan Defosse will wear the “C” for the Ghostriders this season, as he enters his third year with the team. Playing 68 games with the Ghostriders in his KIJHL career, Defosse has 43 points (17G, 26A) including his 4 points (2G, 2A) in 5 games so far this year.
Meanwhile, Greg Susinski, Jordon Kromm, and Gavin Lawrie are the team’s Assistant Captains for the 2020 campaign.
Lawrie is entering his fourth season in the KIJHL, spending 2017 with the North Okanagan Knights and 2018 with the Summerland Steam before joining the Ghostriders last year. Lawrie has played 103 games in the KIJHL, recording 46 career points (18G, 28A). With Fernie, Lawrie has suited up for 32 games, collecting 21 points (8G, 13A) including his 4 points (2G, 2A) this season.
Susinski and Kromm are each into their third season with Fernie, both playing the entirety of their KIJHL careers in a Ghostriders jersey.
As a defenceman, Susinski has 36 points (14G, 22A) in 68 games. Meanwhile, Kromm has put up 83 points (35G, 48A) in his 101 games with the Ghostriders as one of the team’s top forwards.
