Recent warm weather and thinning ice have led the City of Cranbrook to urge residents to stay off the ice at Idlewild Park lake.
The City said the ice has been receding and water has been pooling in other locations.
The public is asked to stay off the ice and no longer use the lake for skating, out of concern for safety reasons.
