An investigation is underway by Cranbrook RCMP after a woman was allegedly pushed out of a vehicle, dragged and run over as the vehicle took off.
Police said the woman was left with severe injuries after she was robbed of her purse and pushed out of the vehicle. Police believe the victim was caught on the outside of the truck and dragged about 240 meters before becoming dislodged and run over by the rear wheels of the truck.
Investigations revealed that four people, including the victim, were inside the white pickup truck.
The incident was reported to Cranbrook RCMP at about 1:22 a.m. in the 1500-block of Jim Smith Lake Road.
We are currently looking to speak with the occupants of the truck or whoever might have more information with regard to this incident
