Columbia Valley RCMP conducted an impaired driving check stop Sunday evening with the assistance of RCMP East Kootenay Traffic Services.
Setting up the check stop at Athalmer Road and Lakeview Drive in Invermere, Columbia Valley RCMP said they checked about 75 vehicles in a two-hour time frame.
As a result of the check stop, RCMP issued one 90-day immediate roadside driving prohibition and another 3-day immediate roadside driving prohibition.
RCMP said they also handed out several warnings to drivers that had a variety of vehicle deficiencies.
