New RCMP Water Service Closing Cranbrook’s 11th Avenue

The City of Cranbrook is closing 11th Avenue on Monday to install new water service to the Cranbrook RCMP detachment.

11th Avenue will be closed from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm on Monday between Baker Street and 1st Street South while the work is completed.

“The new water service is being installed to provide fire suppression sprinklers as a part of a larger renovation upgrade project to the RCMP building,” said the City of Cranbrook.

Detour signage will be set up while crews work on the water service to divert traffic from the blocked road.

“Several bus routes may experience slight delays, however, it is anticipated that BC Transit service will not be impacted in any significant way.”

The City of Cranbrook is reminding the public to respect all signage and traffic control personnel while the water service is installed.
