Fernie Search and Rescue came to the aid of a mountain biker that was injured Wednesday on the Montane Trail System.
“The injured biker had sustained a fractured lower leg,” confirmed Fernie Search and Rescue.
Members that responded were able to package and transport the biker on a wheeled stretcher to the Search and Rescue truck.
From there, Fernie Search and Rescue handed off the biker to the BC Ambulance Service for further care.
Fernie Search and Rescue is thanking all of the bikers that were able to assist their members at the scene to make sure the biker was taken care of.
